Perform a Poem is a website resource that gives school children the opportunity to upload videos of themselves performing poems and to watch other children’s poetry performance videos.
I worked with a primary school for the day, helping them to generate poems to perform, which they went on to record.
This is a great project for teachers who are looking to help children engage with poetry in the classroom in a way that is both immediate and fun.
A poem from this project will be featuring on the website soon…

Yes Jacob, great work. Really like what your doing. I saw you perform at Inua Ellems event at The Southbank with Kate Tempest , your spoken word was inspiring. I’ve been doing similar work at a primary school I work at in Elephant and Castle, and remember going up to you after the event to say big up and ask if u’d be interested in coming to do some workshops at my school. Inua Ellems came to do a workshop last year, and this year I got Anthony Anaxagorgou to come down for the day. Let me know if ur interested in doing some workshops?
Here’s some poems the Kids wrote in the spoken word poetry club I run
